March 2010

I have afresh consigment of Old Glory 25mm Prussians  to finis off my Allied Army. I am currently painting the 3rd Lithuanian Dragoons (below). I quite like the Od Glory figures and for this unit Im trying my best to actually finish it (down to eyes etc). I have a habit of getting troops to a gameable standard and then not finishing the little little bits.

I also have a collection of 28mm ww2 figures (for RoE) - Russiand and Germans. I was half way through when our little baby came to town so they got left. I do need to finish them so I can play may mate Hayden who also has a collection. The figures are blacktree design, nice figures but they are a crap company to deal with, most of my orders take months to do and Im still waiting for parts of my last order made in August.

Below are my half painted Victrix Italians - I like white and green , what can I say so i thought Id give my army some more variety. I am also trying some diferent shading ideas but thought Id add a pic anyway. Lots of touching up to do. The Victrix figures are good bu incredibly "fiddly" to put together and I simply dont know why the bases sizes all vary (The Grenadiers base is huge !)

My fictional army is being recreated - the green guys below are "Princess Arabella" Infantry Regiment of Baron Von Jaxen's Army (of a yet to be decided nation). I painted the uniforms green 2 years ago and am only now actually getting to paint the unit. Next step is to shade and highlight I(more pics to come) and finish. Then to move onto the other units and decide on a base uniform (Im thnking Blue for in and red for cav). The figures are all Revell 7YW (that are no longer in producation) - I also have a swag of 1/72 Napoleonics figures I could use so if I get time I might paint them up too.

Wow its March already. My daughter Arabella is now 8 weeks old and has taken up most of my time (as babies do). I have managed some painting but not as much asd I would have liked but it has been great fun.

Jacko -
just saw your comment on my blog. Glad to see you're still kickin'.

Yes, still running...as a matter of fact, training for a marathon on May 30th. I'm still in touch with some of the guys, even have a group on facebook.

We'll have to figure out how to connect somewhere...I'll send you a PM via MHBOC?

Paul -
Sooner or later the Armies of Princess Arabella will have to meet on the field of battle those of Princess Ursula, or maybe the Landgravina Ekaterina...
Cheers,
